About This Book
WHOLENESS UNLIMITED: Optimum Health Hints. A number of people in leadership roles encouraged Frank to record his life’s experiences – sensing that he had something unique to contribute to the Body of Christ. Recognizing our triune nature of spirit, soul and body (1 Thess. 5:23) he calls on his own varied experiences, with Gwen, in ministering to others, plus his own family background of natural health, in giving an integrated or wholeness approach to health and healing. Generally speaking, as Christians, we have neglected or played down the responsibility that we have as good stewards to care for our physical bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit (I Cor. 6:19). Frank reflects, “It’s often said that death is the ultimate healing. I know this is true in the eternal sense, but should we see God’s followers being ‘picked off’, crippled or side-lined by disease when they obviously still have so much to contribute!” Much has been written on the importance of working at soul-health (mind, emotions, memory, will). Achieving inner health is vital and often we need the help of wise counsellors in working through in a Scriptural way the negative effects of wounds and scars of the past. Much has also been written on the need of our human spirits to be in communion with the Holy Spirit. This book covers these areas but also gives practical advice on how we can come into optimum health through making wise choices regarding diet, exercise, etc. The author has had much encouraging feed-back, but, on following up is finding that people really struggle when it comes to actually getting round to making significant changes to diet and life-style, and having the will to follow these through. Old habits die hard! But be encouraged. It’s worth it. This book will definitely help if you seriously want God’s best in every area of your life and your family.
