Robyn Cotton

ROBYN COTTON grew up in South Taranaki and studied at Massey University in Palmerston North, before travelling to the UK on the great “O.E.”. After returning to New Zealand, Robyn has enjoyed a long career in innovation beginning in the dairy industry before consulting across industry sectors. In recent years she discovered a love for governance. Inspired by her own experiences, she began to explore her interest in creative writing and A Skylark Flies was her first novel. Robyn was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s disease and her experience dealing with this neurodegenerative condition has led to her second novel Mary and Me; Two Women With Parkinson’s Disease Two Hundred Years Apart. Robyn is also passionate about spending time with family, sailing, photography, travel, trekking the NZ bush and racquet sports.
